HELLO
About
Your Hula Hoop Fitness Guru
Getting in shape shouldn’t be a punishment. It’s an amazing and empowering lifestyle decision that anyone can make. I believe in finding the pleasurable side of fitness; and while there may be a sore muscle or two along the way, the benefits of bringing Hula Hooping into your life, far outweighs the initial frustrations you may find when you first pick up (and drop)! the hoop.
I am a qualified Hula Fitness instructor, and trainer for Hula Dancercise. I have worked with a variety of people of all ages and backgrounds, and always love adapting my program to new clients.
I have been live on BBC Radio Suffolk multiple times as a guest speaker and featured in my local press sharing my passion for hula hooping.
A Bit About Me
Where did my hula hoop fitness journey begin?

You can listen to my feature on BBC Radio Suffolk for the full story, but in short:

-
I started my hula hoop journey over 10 years ago as a teenager hooping in my back garden with my best friend during the summer holidays and I got HOOKED!
-
Continued to hoop as I progressed through my school and university education, taking my weighted hula hoop to university in Nottingham with me. Going to the gym just wasn't for me and I found hula hooping to be a safety blanket I could always go back to after a bad day (with cheesy tunes on of course)!
-
Saw the health benefits of hula hooping both on my physical and mental health (I had abs)!
-
Started to share my passion of hooping with colleagues when I started my first corporate job in Suffolk and loved the feeling of sharing something I'm so passionate about.
-
In 2020, a global pandemic hit and it gave me the opportunity to evaluate my goals. I became determined to find my way into the fitness industry and share my love of hooping with others across Suffolk, the UK and further a field thanks to online classes.
-
I have now been teaching since 2020 and hold regular face to face classes in Stowupland, Suffolk on Monday evenings. I still work full time in marketing so hula hooping is very much a side hustle.
-
On top of this I have gotten involved in various local and national fitness events and more recently supported Hula Dancercise launch their first instructor training programme.
