Who we are

Hula With Abs is run by Abby Close, operating as a sole trader. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Abby Close is the “data controller” for the personal data described in this policy.

What personal data we collect

We collect personal data when you use the contact/booking form on the site, or book and pay for a class, taster or pass online. This can include:

Your name
Your email address
Your phone number, if you provide it
Details of the classes, taster sessions or passes (e.g. 6-Class Pass, 10-Class Pack) you book
Payment details are handled directly by our payment processor (see below); we don't see or store your full card details ourselves

If you tell us about an injury, condition or mobility need in person, by message or by email we will use this so we can support you safely in class, we'll only use that to run the session safely and won't add it to any marketing list.

How we use your data

We use your information to:

Process and manage your booking or class pass
Take payment for classes and passes
Contact you about the class you've booked (timing changes, cancellations, venue info)
Respond to enquiries sent via the contact form

How long we keep it

We keep booking and contact details for as long as you're an active hooper, and for a reasonable period after your last class in case you return (e.g. if a class reopens that you previously expressed an interest in hearing about.

Who we share it with

Your details are stored and processed via Wix.com, Inc., who host this website and run its booking and payment functionality. When you pay online, your payment details are handled by Wix's payment processing partners, we don't store your full card details ourselves.

We don't sell your data, and we don't currently share it with any advertising or analytics platforms.

The site uses a small number of cookies to run securely and to support online booking and payment.

Cookies we use

This site is built and hosted on Wix. Wix automatically places a small number of essential and functional cookies to make the site work, for example, to keep the site secure, balance load across servers, and remember basic settings as you browse. These cookies don't require your consent because the site can't function properly without them.

Because you can book and pay for classes and passes directly on the site, Wix's booking and payment cookies are also active. These keep track of your booking session (so the right class and pass stay in your basket as you check out), and support secure payment processing and fraud prevention during checkout. These are necessary cookies and don't require separate consent.

We don't currently add any analytics (such as Google Analytics) or advertising/tracking cookies (such as a Meta or Google Ads pixel) ourselves.

If that changes e.g. Google Analytics or a Facebook/Meta pixel is added list the specific cookies here (name, purpose, and how long they last) and make sure Wix's cookie consent banner is switched on so visitors can accept or decline before they load.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Ask us to correct inaccurate data
Ask us to delete your data (where we're not required to keep it, e.g. for tax purposes)
